Re: 50-200 swd with teleconverter
For some while I have been using the ED 300mm f2.8 for roving bird photography but as I do a few overseas trips with cabin baggage, only this lens with the E5 etc. takes up a lot of my 10kg allowance. So I recently bought a 50-200mm SWF with the idea of using it naked and with the EC14. The results are quite amazing with the combination now being my main roving setup and in my opinion the IQ achieved is so close to the 300mm that I now use this only when in more static situations. This Marsh Tit was taken under heavy tree cover, fully open, from over 6 metres and is around 80% cropped:
