The RX100 is a great little pocketable camera with excellent IQ and performance. It far outperforms it's compact point and shoot mould.

You are better off post cropping in a photo editor, the digital zoom does the same thing but you can get better results using a external program.

I have a RX100 and love it.
The IQ is excellent, it's compact and pocketable and I like the functionality.
It's my carry everywhere camera and I often take it on walks and hikes instead of my m4/3...

I loved the SHG lenses when I had them, I had the 4 zoom set and was always impressed by the IQ they exhibited. There really is a 3 dimensional quality to some of the pictures, and the fine detail...

You can only set picture size and quality for jpg's, a raw file is always the same size and uses the full resolution of the sensor.

There are a lot of folk moving from FF to m4/3, on the m4/3 user group it surprising how many folk are making the switch, appreciating the compactness and particularly the excellent lens selection...

I would have thought a camera the size and with the ergonomics of the GH3 would make make an ideal hybrid (4/3 and m4/3) camera. It depends how they implement the pd-af and make it able to be used...
